At CIS, the National Section follows the guidelines of the Egyptian Ministry of Education while enriching the academic experience through modern teaching methods, character-building, and skill development. Our curriculum is designed to support students from their earliest learning stages through to national exam preparation and university readiness.
Early Childhood (KG1 – KG2)
Our Early Childhood program nurtures children’s growth through a balance of structure and play, helping them build confidence, curiosity, and readiness for primary school.
- Emphasis on structured play-based learning to support cognitive, social, and emotional development
- Early introduction to foundational literacy and numeracy through hands-on activities
- Language development in both Arabic and English, including phonics, listening, and speaking (using the sound of letters, blending them to prepare for reading)
- Daily creative expression through art, storytelling, and movement-based learning
- Focus on independence, routines, and interpersonal skills to build readiness for formal schooling

Primary School (Grades 1 – 6)
The Primary Stage marks an important period in a child’s development — where curiosity is nurtured, confidence is built, and foundational skills are firmly established. At CIS, we believe that learning in these years should be joyful, meaningful, and dynamic. Our approach encourages expression, responsibility, and engagement in both the classroom and the wider world.
- Core subjects are taught in an interactive mode where conversations and debates are introduced to attract the attention of the students and keep them engaged. Use of group projects, reading circles, and presentations to foster confidence and engagement.
- The French language is introduced starting from Grade 1 and the German language is introduced from Grade 3.
- A well-rounded educational experience is provided through the focus of the school on weekly high quality Computer Studies, Art, and Physical Education (PE)
- Focus on developing responsibility, good work habits, and personal expression
- Our students have been participating in national reading, academic contests, art exhibitions, sports competitions and cultural events.
- Enrichment through field trips, drama, and interactive learning experiences
Preparatory School (Grades 7 – 9)
The preparatory phase plays a pivotal role in shaping students’ academic direction and personal identity. This stage is where learners begin to reinforce their individual personalities, explore their talents and passions, and transition into more mature, independent thinkers.
At CIS, we recognize the importance of this developmental period. That’s why we carefully select highly qualified, subject-specialist teachers who not only deliver focused academic instruction, but also act as mentors — helping students grow with confidence and clarity.
- Emphasis on critical thinking, analytical writing, and problem-solving across subjects
- Extracurricular opportunities including student council, art exhibitions, and school competitions
- Early guidance in study skills, time management, and personal responsibility
- Encouragement of community involvement and values-based projects that nurture emotional and social maturity.

Secondary School (Grades 10 – 12)
The secondary stage is the final and most transformative phase of a student’s school journey. It marks a period of academic focus, personal responsibility, and future planning. At this stage, CIS is committed to preparing students not only for the Thanaweya Amma exams but also for life beyond school.
We emphasize academic rigor, goal-setting, and character development. Our experienced educators and school leadership provide continuous guidance and support, helping students mature into self-aware, resilient, and purpose-driven young adults.

- Focused instruction aligned with Ministry standards and tailored student support
- Access to elective enrichment (e.g., advanced research, language support, study groups)
